Sound Walk coming to Phone Boxes

As part of Being Human Festival, artist Sebastiane Hegarty will be installing a soundscape at the phone boxes. K6 Gallery has been selected as one of a number of landmarks across the city centre.

You can join Solent University lecturer Dr Sebastiane Hegarty for a Sound Walk and explore different landmarks in the city (including K6 Gallery) through sound.

The soundscapes are part of a larger project called ‘Let’s get lost and found and lost again – Southampton as a Situationist city’.

The walking tour at 6.30pm on Friday 17th November is free, although you will need an internet enabled smart phone to listen. For more information and to book tickets for the Sound Walk visit the eventbrite page here.

Two days later, on Sunday 19th November K6 Gallery is running a workshop to precede the ‘Southampton: 2117, Speculative Futures’ exhibition. The workshop will be at the Masonic Hall behind the phone boxes in Albion Place from 2.30pm until 6.00pm. For more information and to book a free place at eventbrite.
