Brutalust Exhibition Now Open

Last week saw the opening of K6 Gallery’s latest exhibition, Brutalust: Celebrating Southampton’s Post-War Architecture.

Owen Hatherley who helped curate the exhibition gave a very interesting talk after the opening which sold out days in advance. Interest in the exhibition has been so high that Gallery Director, Alex Batten, was asked to appear on BBC South Today where he was interviewed about the ideas behind the exhibition. You can read the BBC article on the exhibition here.

The accompanying photobook has also been well received with orders being sent out to every corner of the country, from London to Newcastle and even as far as Denmark. It’s been so popular in fact that the first edition has now sold out and a second edition of 60 are being printed in order to keep up with demand. If you’ve not got a copy yet and want to get hold of one, you can buy it here.
